Mother of a black cat and fascinated by women getting stronger through simple exercises so they can go conquer the next big thing
Confession: Exercise has not always been such an integral part of my life.
In fact…
I once broke down crying like a mess just because my mom wanted to go on a walk with me when I was in 11th grade.

Things turned out for the better. Through 4 years of college, where I majored in Exercise Science (*mostly because I wanted to be a physical therapist*), I was able to build an exercise routine that seemingly worked. I started with doing yoga at the cost of $20 for 3 months. In addition, I cycled on the elliptical machine at the student recreation center for cardio. Some exercise machines were sprinkled in for good measure.
One day, all that changed. I dislocated my shoulder when playing Just Dance (*it’s a game that you hold your phone to follow what the silhouette in the game does*). It happened so quick as I was immersed in the beats. The drive to the ER was agonizing. The vibe was ruined. My bone was no longer where it was supposed to be. The intake nurse, though, had a great laugh. She couldn’t believe the video my friend took at the time.
As you can see, that exercise routine, despite fulfilling the basic requirements, was not enough. Exercise needs to complement what you do in daily life. There was something missing. After 2 years of looking around, I found serious strength training to be the answer. It all started with at-home exercises that use body weight or dumbbells and even my kitty cat! I then moved on to barbell lifting to up the level to keep up with the amount of active life I want to do.
After a year of consistent strength training, I have no run-in with the ER and can deadlift more than double my bodyweight (223 lbs/101 kg). My shoulders are stronger than ever, allowing me to try Japanese swordsmanship as a result. You can see the revolution that my body experienced because you also dream of the same strength and confidence.
An exercise routine that supports life’s demand.
Strength training isn’t to look muscular, it is essential to live life as a strong woman.
Today, I help women to do strength training without building muscles but confidence.
